3 Gig is enought?

If you look at it you get 100 Meg per day. Which is 4.17 Meg per hour (This is a joke). Now for all the people which say 3 Gig is fine. Answer these questions?

Do you listen to Streaming Audio/Video?
Have you ever downloaded a service pack/updates for your OS?
Do you play online games?

We are paying almost R 1000 pm. Being a home user im not gonna folk out so much money just to send email and occasional browsing. Maybe this is acceptable for business but not home user. We living in the digital age with multimedia. The least we can expect a decent service.

A simple upgrade of IE takes a fair chunk, not that I use it.

I have been connected now for 30 min and already received 11 MB, OK so I did download Artera to try it out.

If you only do simply browsing and receive a few emails a day, stay with your 56k. Because I don't, I signed up for ADSL ... pity the Plot has been Lost !

Cant wait for the capped T1 ! :-D

Is the 3GB for me? So far, yes.

I do play online gaming, I have an XBox, connected to XBox Live, this is one of the main reasons I got ADSL.
The second reason I got ADSL, was because it is cheaper than my ISDN line was, i used to connect to the internet at irregular intervals, and my phonebill was really costing a lot. Since ADSL, my phonebill has halved.
I mainly download MP3's, gaming related videos (trailers etc.) and do a lot of browsing. I DO download service packs, in fact, I just downloaded the IE6 service pack (it's small though, so?)
For the business, ADSL is great because I can leave my email program open all day, and recieve mails anytime, not have to connect and worry about the phone bill.

Am i satisfied with the service? No.
I expected MUCH higher download speeds.
XBox Live is great, but some games LAG terribly, to the extent where they are unplayable.
Overseas, the ADSL is muuuuuuch better. I just came from the US, and browsing with ADSL is lightning fast.

For me, 3GB is enough. All I want is more speed.
But living in South Africa, we are bandwith restricted.
This is what happens when there is a monopoly, we can't do jack sh*t about it, all we can do is moan, and hopefully our cries will land on the right ears.
