Hi all,

I noticed something last night. When I connect to a 'normal' tower, my phone (Nokia 6680) displays the cell's ID tag. So I found a 3G Sweetspot in my house last night (very chuffed), so I checked to see which tower I was connecting to, but the phone doesn't display the tower name.

So I checked on my way to work this morning, going through the different cells, but none of the 3G towers show their ID's

Is this a Nokia or a Vodacom thing?

Cheers

Apparently, when using the 3G service, it is unable to actually display the 'Cell info' of the tower. If you REALLY want to know which cell you're using, you should get 'FExplorer' or some really advanced diagnostic tools. 'Netmonitor'

Yes, these are symbian applications. At least you'll be able to get your Cell ID and everything, although it doesn't display any names, it gives you the actual number of the Cell. Or Does it...

Sorry, I'm in a really bouncy mood. Trying not to let the negative side of things get me down.
