3G hardware options

Hi,

what are the hardware options available for getting a PC to talk 3G/HSDPA

I know there is a HSDPA card option.

This can be placed in a 3G Linksys router to provide a LAN connection

Or it can be placed in a special adaptor for a normal PC.

Are there any USB based 3G modems available?

Or even better, any ethernet 3G modems which one can plug into your router of choice with PPPoE?

Are they available as freebie contract incentives?

According to a Vodacom brochure I got at Makro today it is "FIRST! from Vodacom".

I was today at both a Vodashop and an MTN shop, and none of them knew of this.

It also seems to be so fresh that the VC website still needs to be updated.

I guess technology moves faster than staff can be trained.
I guess it is also harder to sell a data contract to a knowledgable IT geek than a cellphone contract to a bling-bling Joe Soap wanting to call his buddies.

My winner would be a unit like the iBurst modem which can take USB as well as Ethernet PPPoE.
