I like the openness of Android. If I want a Settings button on my desktop, I put it there. If I want to access it via my Menu button or my apps list, I can. I can do things how I want.
Let's all face it, each device has good points and bad points. I prefer the open model of different manufacturers being able to make Android devices far more than the closed apple method. Like they said on TWIG the other day, Apple is making the same mistake they made a few years ago. Windows was made to run on all sorts of PC's, and so most of the world runs windows. Or at least did.
On the other hand, it's safe what Apple is doing. They are your monitor, your censor, your babysitter, your protector. Some people want that...some people need that. I don't, but that's me. And I have some more awesome experiences because of it, but sometimes it comes with bigger screwups needing fixing;-)
I like the competition....it is healthy, it will keep Apple, Google, HTC, Samsung and all participants more on the ball than it would if there was no competition.
