5 best 360 games

i am getting my 360 this weekend and was wondering which games are currently the best (would like to get 1 in each category- RPG, sport,racing )
 
FPS: Gears of War or Ghost Recon
Racing: Test Drive Unlimited
Sport: Fight Night Round 3 or Tony Hawk's Project 8
RPG: Not aware of any decent ones

Elder Scrolls 4 : Oblivion single handedly sold the xbox 360 for the past year (With Gears of War being the game that is selling it at the moment)

Yeah, I think Oblivion sucks. I have it and I don't even play it.
 
Look, it clearly is a great game based on all the awards. It was one of the biggest selling titles on the xbox 360 in 2006. It has an average score of 94%. And it is most certainly the best rpg for the 360. Whether you like it or not is of course up to you. But it is unquestionably one of the best games avaiable for the 360.

I have Gears of War and I dont even play it. Does mean it isn't one of the best games available

I have my doubts over Lost Planet since Capcom makes them and those Jap console shooters always suck in some respect ... big boss fights ... yawn.

Shooters : Lost Planet, Gears of War, Rainbow 6 Vegas, FEAR
Racers : PGR3, TDU, Burnout
RPG : Oblivion, Phantasy Universe
Action : Crackdown (23rd Feb(?)), Ninety Nine Nights, Dead or Alive 4, Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Sports : FIFA07, PES6
RTS : BFME2, C&C 3 ( March ), Halo Wars ( June/July )
Arcade : Geometry Wars, MS Pac Man, Uno, Doom, Castlevania ( March ), Ikaruga ( March ), Hexic
 
How does Project 8 compare to the previous titles? It sucks that there does not seem to be any sign of it coming to PC.
 
Huge upcoming games for me are Halo 3 and Guitar Hero 2.

Tibby, I see you've also ordered Halo 2. Looks like there's something of a Halo renaissance going on in SA. I just got my copy and Webhostingtalk's got his on order too.
 
My advice would be to pick up one or two games now, I'd personally recommend Gears of War (duh) and Burnout Revenge (or PGR3 depending on your preference)

Because they're relativity quick to get into and out of, and there are so many hot titles coming out in the next two months, rather save you cash for some of the new releases. Oblivion sounds great and maybe on day I'll get around to it, but it's too time consuming and I'd rather spend my time and money on the newer titles.
