Not sure how many other people have had this problem - certainly searching the lists it seems fairly common.

For the second time now my 6630 64mb memory card has corrupted itself - last time I managed to get it exchanged as phone was still under warranty by MTNSP.

Could this be a firmware issue? Does anyone else know if this is a known problem?

Both times it seems as if the corruption happened whilst opening the Opera web browser which was installed on the card, but this could just be co-incidence.

Thanks

The when i used to have a motorola e398(cr@p) I had the same problem. What brand card is it?

happened to me as well... but I was copying something onto the card via usb cable, and ended up corrupt. formatting wouldnt work, through the phone itself and by pc card reader. nokia swapped out. havent had any problems since, tho I have recently switched to using a legend 256mb card :D

*edit* I figure it might be a prob with the cards, based on no issues with my current one

I have had a similar problem; i get a message saying the card is corrupted, but upon removing and replacing the same card, it all seems fine with no data loss. This is the stock card.
I'd like to move to a new phone, say the w800, (design), but am cautious about leaving symbian. It really is a flexible OS.

Thanks for the comments. This is a nokia card. Will try to swap out again hoping still under warranty.
