Well Frontosa took the BFG cards and The XFX were all sold on either the system shock or PCBG guys.

thinking the same thing ... seen only the locally available stuff at the normal prices that others sell at ... maybe marketing strategy by person
BFG has no distributors in SA and I know personally I've bought in a 6800GT from the U.S and I knwo another perosn who has bought in a number of BFG cards for personal use.
I find it hard to think that BFG would all of a sudden care about SA distribution of any of their products.
