802.11s - Mesh networking

I found the comments on this article pretty interesting. Some of the readers suggest using this in combination with WiMax. Sort of a best of both worlds scenario.
 
i like the fact it handles cross overs from other protocols, so people using 802.11a/b/g can talk to it as well, albeit with lower security/speed
