Which is better? Transfer or cancel & reapply?

Hi. I'm moving soon to a different house 6 blocks away. Should I attempt a line transfer of my line+adsl to new home, or should I do a cleaner "cancel and reapply" move?

If you will be on the same exchange a transfer. If on a different exchange a transfer and reapply is cheaper.
