Hey ...

I have managed to set up my D500 as a GPRS modem, so I don't have a problem with that. However, my T68i used the number *99***1# or *99# to dial GPRS, while the Samsung uses ONLY *99#. I noticed (but never tried) another number one can dial as well which is *99*1*1# Do cerrtain phones only accept certain numbers, or how does it work?

Btw, MTNHandset ... your Samsung technition was quite right : EDGE won't work on the phone, even if you select EGPRS. I don't think I'll believe those damn forums again *blush* ...

From what the one Vodacom techie told me, that number be it *99# or whatever, is the number of the phone that the computer dials to connect to the phone. So I guess with different phones, comes different numbers.

shame dolby you got the d500 enabled but disabled edge phone :(

Very pathetic of samsung to do this
