A Letter To A 2ND Level Technician

WOW - loonegunman!good job!

i was thinking of getting this service for myself here in cape town, but iv changed my mind!

bradleyzorg - it wasnt my intention to make you or anyone change their mind, so in that respect, I'll duck n dive from accepting the 'good job' comment :P
Rather than permanently decide not to go with Sentech, maybe just hold off a little and keep an eye on the info in this forum, coz I know what I and some others are going through, hopefully isnt really 'the norm' (I think) - so before you sign up for ADSL (with a whole bunch of probs inherent there waiting to bite you) - maybe just keep a cautious eye and try and get a sense of how other folks, perhaps in the same area as you, experience it, before making a perm decision..

Update:
Seeing as I'm really swift to attack Sentech when they're crap, let me be equally swift to say 'Okay guys, my speeds seem to have returned, thank you Sentech'. (Assuming that they actually 'did something') But this just means that the stuff I was trying to download yesterday and the day before, at 1k, is now coming down at a much saner 8-11k, which is great. (Stop laughing you higher package elitists :P) So thanks Sentech, dunno who did what - but now things are decent... until they go boom again. Please keep things like this for a month a two, and who knows, I may even trust you guys enough to upgrade my package :P

My Speed is crap once again as well, 31% signal and still 50% Packet Loss with a simple ping to www.sentech.co.za.

it doesnt make sense, and im loosing my patience. this is worse than Telkom, telkom is a King in this picture.

Maybe Telkom is using Sentech to boost their own sales....

/truly tired of paying R850 a month for something I cant use.

Is it possible to get out of this contract?

Jeez the speeds on MW are as unstable as my ex!!

LG - we all obviously agree. And here's the cherry - I get less speeds on 256K than 128K - how is that. I had to test for a customer with a 256K package (unfortunately I OK Sentech as a useful addition to their ADSL) and now I have to run around because their offsite Backups are not happening.

Get it fixed Sentech...I am not gonna refer anyone to your service...that happens with contention ratios - Less is more :-)

lonegunman: me being in the ISP industry, quality of bandwidth/reliability/service is what people want. it does not seem like sentech mywireless is offering any of that.
