A question to technicians on the forum

How far did you have to drive to do the repair? With the price of petrol and your time behind the wheel you really need to work out if it did in fact only take you 30 minutes.
 
So in the end i said there is no charge,although he knows this is my bread and butter.He came the next day and brought me a pack of 30 rothmans/steers double burger and chips and a zippo lighter:)I think this will suffice and i get to keep my friendship.

I never repair friends and families pc's hence the thread.
 
I charge R300 for every hour or R150 for half an hour and R4.50 per kilometer I have to travel. I prefer servicing businesses more than end users because they don't quarrel about the charges nearly as much. I have a few clients that I make special arrangements for like family, friends or friends family.

All charges are at my discretion. Sometimes I'll charge someone harshly just for being stupid;)
