I've given up, so if I can work with Telkom maybe around them, does anyone know if there is an ADSL/ISDN combo service, I know I have ADSL/POTS (analogue for those who don't know)

I have two questions:
1. Since Telkom says you can still use your account via dial-up, does the traffic there also add up to your 3Gb cap.
2. Does the account work for ISDN dial-up also or only POTS?

Technology is available to have "ADSL over ISDN" but is not available locally. If you want both, you will need two lines - one for ISDN and one for ADSL.

You can use your ADSL account for dial-up, but abalogue (i.e. 56K) only.

Dial-up traffic does not count towards your cap - need verification of that, but that's my understanding.
