ANC in stadium cover-up

Yeah, and the way this guavamint is going, it seems like corruption is not being punished adequately in my opinion, almost to the point where we are going to need a lobby group that is prepared to drag whichever department or sphere of guavamint it is, into court and force them to mete out the correct punishment on the person.

Its not an easy conclusion since incompetent people often don't recognize competency in others. Even Manto thinks she is competent.
 
Mandatory corruption quota covered. Nothing unexpected. Now can we please go build some stadiums so that we do not embarrass ourselves as a nation.:(

I wonder if the decisionmakers ever considered how they will recover the cost of the expenditure incurred in the building of the stadiums?

Well, according to CapeTownGuy, London spent more on one of their stadiums than we spent on one of ours so it makes everything even...;)

On a different note: I'm becoming increasingly concerned with the voracity of the vocal swipes taken by politicians against the media in this country. It seems to be brewing to the point where media freedom may just be in jeopardy. Very concerning indeed.

I'm a black person living in the township but do not like the fact that being black automatically means ANC supporter. This old mass fellowship syndrome must come to an end! All these DAs, IFPs, PACs, IDs, UDMs and everything else must just disband and make way for a new powerful party that will represent everyone's interests, from the poor to the working class and business sector, from whites to blacks and to Indians and coloureds and everyone.

Let's have a fresh perspective and new brains; let the ANC have a tough challenge; let's have election results that will go down to the wire in deciding which party will rule next. Having a tough competitor was going to be good for even the ANC itself.

But I guess this is just a dream; it won't happen because the ANC's biggest supporters are the poor and illiterate masses in rural villages and townships across the country - these people wouldn't even recognise another strong party if there was one. They know that ANC freed them from apartheid and they are scared that if ANC loses, apartheid will come back.

They are not voting for ANC because it's performing well - in fact, they will tell you with their own mouths that ANC has dismally failed them - they are voting for it because it's protecting them from the return of apartheid and besides, it's Mandela's party.

Their support for ANC is traditional and emotional; it has nothing to do with service delivery and performance. They are not well informed about many aspects of government and are disgruntled and hopeless, they complain about ANC councilors who are "doing nothing" but will still vote ANC for the next fifty years.

They will vote for the ANC even if the IEC messed up ballot papers and mistakenly printed Fikile Mbalula's picture next to the ANC logo. They'll cast their vote and go home to complain about ANC councilors who are "doing nothing".

im sure it wont take long before the rest of those taken for a ride, start thinking the same, checkout that dude in the squatter camp on Carte Blanche (Panorama - No More Mandela’s) who said things were better during the National Party ruling - almost fell off my chair when i heard that!!!!!!
