Asus A8V-E SE

Brought the following today:
AMD 3000+ 939
Asus A8V-E SE
XFX 7600GT
400W 24Pin PSU

And the dam thing wont boot

does it boot up as in makes a noise or will it not go on at all?

i mean give us some info

as to whether it starts up and no vga or is it just dead

The power goes on but no signal to the monitor, that motherboard doesnt use beep codes (some crappy voice audion notification) so yeah power, and no picture......

Seem to be having bad luck with Asus lately

how many sticks of ram do you have in their

if you have 2 remove the 1 and see if it boots

could be faulty cpu or just memory not mixing well

Sounds like a display issue.....
Make sure your Video card is inserted properly and cable attached properly....
Make sure all Power cables in IE:20/24 pin and the other 4 pin....
Try using onboard display if available.
Go for a CMOS reset.
Hope the card isnt faulty.

one way to tell if its your card is check whether you monitors light is green or not if it green prolly not vga card

jjtoymachine, your powersupply wouldn't be from Aopen?

ive tried Aopen, Microlab and antec power supplies nothing works....tried many different ram combinations. Im guessing its a faulty mobo search on the net and its seems quiet common on this board, guess i wont be getting Asus again anytime soon...

make sure you got your cpu power plugged in and if the 7600 needs a power connection make sure that is connected too.
