Axxess disconnects session every 69 hours!

I am having the same problem. Every 52 hours, fortunately it reconnects quite quickly but it is annoying when it happens on a work call.

Another user in this forum thread reported the same yesterday, also every 52 hours like I said.

DM sent yesterday at 4pm, do you think we'll be able to get feedback today?

They confirmed it's expected behaviour, they have a 52 hour timeout on their PPPoE sessions.

Quite surprising - I haven't heard of scheduled frequent PPPoE timeouts since the days of Telkom DSL getting a new dynamic IP every 24 hours back in the day.

If it was multiples of 24 hours one could have just rebooted the router at say 5AM or something and then at least you know it will be every day at the same time. This 52 hour thing is guaranteed to cause disruption during day time (work) hours every few days. Not very bright of them. I guess you can schedule a reboot but not everyone is tech savvy.

Axxess came back to clarify that "This is the provider's ONT equipment that is designed to function like that. This is across the Openserve ONTs."

Are you on OpenServe as the FNO?
And which OpenServe ONT brand/model are you using?

Hi. I am on OpenServe and using the Nokia ONT from them. I'll have the check the exact model when I get home.

This is not good enough. My 5G was more reliable in terms of not dropping connections every 52 hours. Why can't they rather do the drop/reconnect at 01:00 in the morning or something. Not during my Teams calls with clients?

Also saw it on OpenServe with Nokia ONT. Roughly how long ago was your ONT installed?
