Missing the point guys. If your BEE status changes or you loose it, you can still issue an affidavit to indicate your current status. They are not willing to do this.

So your choice is either certificate or affidavit to indicate you are not compliant. Either are acceptable, but axxess do not want to provide either.

Yup, spoke to their accounts department and the person did seem to know what she was talking about. Escalated there after call centre just merely sending the expired certificate each time we requested it.

Unfortunately being in a large multinational, one has to demonstrate good governance and follow the laws of the land that you operate in, so ignoring compliance is not an option.

Sure if you are a one or two man operation, one can choose. However I would put it to you that if say a business transaction worth say R1m p.a. to your small business, would you still choose not to provide your customer a simple affidavit?

We have been waiting upon Axxess to provide us with a BEE certificate. Seems their current one has expired and they are no longer BEE compliant or unable to get a new certifcate for whatever reason.

Unfortunately our firm (as I am sure many) require this, so sadly, bye bye axxess.

Well, first, it isn't a matter of compliance. Nobody is forced to obtain a BEE rating. You can do business without one - you just can't take government contracts or certain large multinational contracts.

Second, they have told you how important a BEE rating is to them - apparently its not important at all to their business. If it was important, you would have heard about it.

If you are making use of their hosting service as a business so as to prove it to your clients?
