Hi Guys

I posted a question in the General ADSL discussions forum, but no reply, and I thought maybe I should ask the gamers.

Are any of you using route sentry successfully to play BF2142?

This is my original thread with my problem, if anyone can help, please do, I really need to play this game, as you know, its addictive.

Hi guys, please help if you can.

I have 2 ISP's at the moment (1 international and local (SAIX), and the other has been lent to me from a friend which is local only (IS))

I set up RASPPPOE and Route Sentry (I assume correctly), but when I try play Battlefield 2142 or Counter Strike Source it doesnt work? BF wont see the EA master server, and CSS wont give me a list of servers. If I just let the SAIX based account be active in route sentry then everything works perfectly, but as soon as I have both active, my games wont even see servers.

Please help if you can, I really want to play BF for the rest of the month

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have SP2 installed? I had problems setting it up, then I installed SP2 and it worked perfectly.

Thank you very much for the reply, unfortunately yeah, I have SP2 installed :( I also had RASPPPOE 98b installed, has anyone had more success with the 99?

OK I get this error in the log page:

21/11/2006 12:11:30 ERROR: Invalid parameter, (216.104.198.0,255.255.255.0,0.0.0.0,2,3)
21/11/2006 12:11:30 ERROR: Invalid parameter, (216.104.199.0,255.255.255.0,0.0.0.0,2,3)
21/11/2006 12:11:30 ERROR: Invalid parameter, (216.162.42.0,255.255.255.0,0.0.0.0,2,3)

Now there are ALOT of those errors, all different IP addresses.

Ok, so you've installed RASPPPOE, you can connect two connections at once now, you've got route sentry all set up, you've connected both the connections and you've pressed set up routes now, and its still not working? Wierd. Well I have no idea what it could be, it works perfectly for me. As for which RASPPPOE I used, I downloaded both, but I can't remember which one I installed, sorry. I'll try and think of something.

Is that the log for route sentry?

EDIT:
This is what a working log should look like:
21/11/2006 12:19:27 Creating routing table
21/11/2006 12:19:27 Finished creating routing table

I get that working log if I dont play battle field. But I get errors if I play BF. :( I just uninstalled, and reinstalled the beta RASPPPOE, and same problem.

Just to double check. I am using 1 network adapter for this. I have created 1 dial up using the adapter, and 1 using a service on that adapter, is this correct, or do I have to use 2 adapters?

Excuse me for asking these questions, but what are RASPPPOE and Route Sentry for?
