Hi, does anyone here know how to change settings on the 7290 to change it from gprs to gsm...? if it helps, i'm from toronto, canada and my provider is rogers...

this is confusing ... you want to change it from GPRS ( which is your data Channel ) to GSM ( which is used for calls )
can you not make calls ???

Without the GPRS connection you wont have Blackberry functionality - just a fugly phone

thanks... all i wanna use it for is a phone and texting... nothing internet related...

Try this then - Settings, Network - change Data Services to "Off" or to "Off while roaming" and save

Odd - better ask Rogers then. What options do you have? Its supposed to be right above the line above the Network selection mode option.
