Does anyone know if this handset is to be released here in SA. Nobody I have spoken to at Vodacom has event heard of it.

I have one so do alot of others, its not available to the public yet but will be very soon, mid March.
 
Is it going to be launched (i.e. will there be any media notification) or will we have trawl the vodashops until we find somebody who knows what we are talking about?

I thought about the pearl but since seeing the BB 8800 I've decided to hold off.

Anyway - I'm still waiting for BIS to be properly implemented.
 
Thats why I want it :) But its irksome that it has been available in India and Turkey for some time now (through Vodafone) , and yet we always seem to get things last or not at all...(BIS ver 2.1 etc....)
