SpaceX used to do most of their test firings off-site. An explosion at a launch pad is much more expensive.

Only the latest generations of rockets use methane as a fuel (none of the Falcon series did). The vapourisation of liquid methane is rapid compared to kerosene, more like the BLEVE explosion in Boksburg.

Americans are always so creative with their descriptions. A bad electrical connection does not lead to a fire, nah, it's a thermal event.

What source are you using ng for an electrical issue since it is sounds like a slow valve in mixing system that allowed the mix to turn into a bomb.

The electrical issue is a separate one in a recall by a big American company. Merely reflecting on the language used.
