Blue Shift released on Steam

Yes, Valve continue with their "Repackage and resell" method of business.

Personally, I am refusing to buy another game from Valve, until they get rid of Steam.
 
Steam is such a malformed utterly useless inefficient [not to mention slow, retarded and stupid] piece of crap.
I've never seen something that inefficient, except for MS's MSDN download tool.
I will not be touching this with a bargepole.
 
It's free if you have Half Life 1 or 2.

Agreed about the inefficieny of Steam though. It took about 5 hours to download the thing.
 
Blue Shift was the weakest expansion for HL... and yet its not even properly rehashed by Valve, just added nice water and voila... same as the HL included in STEAM... rip-off for a Collectors Edition... pfffttt
 
and only available to those who bought Half Life 2 online via STEAM(ing pile of sh*t!) I bought the Collectors Edition and don't get squat from them! Bah! won't be suckered again!
 
I bought the one you get in stores (Bronze edition) and I got it for free? Then again, I did register my HL1 on Steam with the CDkey that came with Blue Shuft (I bought it ages ago)
 
I got the silver account from STEAM, payed only R250 odd at the time with exchange rate and have everything. I have never had a problem with steam(Only cause I never use a capped account). The biggest facter influencing STEAM is th large downloads and blame Telkom for that being a pain in the ass. I like the fact that a new map can ome out or an update and i don't have to worry about a patch or where to DL it, it come automatically. I Can't wait for SIN to be released via STEAM cause i know i won't even have to try looking in or rubbish "gaming" storesthe entire day trying to find it. Just click "Buy via STEAM", done dusted, go to work and come home to a dl'ed game.

Dialup? It also took me hours to dl the updates when I first installed it. Steam also seems to crash a lot.

Does anyone know when Lost Coast will be released?

It will be released very soon - possibly when the HL2 expansion comes out (end of this month)

You'll need insance PC specs to run it though....
