I'm thinking of opening an internet cafe and i would like to know if anyone out there has any experience or advice they would like to dish out. In particular i'd like to know what is the best type of adsl to use. Uncapped? Unshaped? 1024 or is there a 4Mb option? Best ISP? I would really appreciate any constructive comments.
So far i'm thinking of a telkom 1024 uncapped unshaped account. Is this foolish?

The 1Mbps and 4Mbps options are the same product. You get the higher speed as a trial if you're lucky and if you're in the right area. Either way, get the fastest option you can.

I'd get an uncapped option from an IS provider like Openweb. You don't need (or want) P2P traffic for an internet cafe, but make sure you don't get something that only lets you use X gigs per week before throttling your speed.

Thanks for the reply. Anyone else? Anyone else know about Mac internet cafe software?

OpenWeb Uncapped with 4Mbps would work for an internet cafe
