broadband loosing connection?

This has happened twice this week while I was online. After resetting everything once and then doing a restore only to find its still down. I go into my home portal and find out that my user name and password are missing. After I add them its OK. What is causing this?

If you are using a router, make sure to save the username and password to "flash" or save configuration before you close the home gateway.

If it keeps on doing it in future, it could be that your router is broken
