Nope, that was simply a re-delivery fee. Most couriers have something like this built into their T&C's. They will do x amount of attempts, and then it will be sent back to the sender or you will have to pay again to have it delivered.

They tried to deliver once, they made 2 calls to me.
1) at 1:50am
2) Whatsapp call

how is that a proper way of communication.

I guess I will have to read the terms and conditions from yunexpress.

So the call at 1:50am is an automated system call, there isn't a person on the end of that phone.

The whatsapp call is likely the courier partner, but its a totally acceptable form of communication these days (Even though it pisses on my battery immensely as well)

Why don't Buffalo/DPD allow collections?
surely it'll reduce their high volume problem, and I don't mind (if not too far) going to collect.
they can even arrange collection to give them time to find the parcel.

So my parcel got delivered late last night, and definitely not in a DPD Laser branded vehicle at all.

So yes the last mile courier element of Temu via Buffalo is not fantastic but given that I got 3 items for my 3d printer vs the 1 item if I'd bought it locally, I'm mostly ok dealing with a subpar delivery experience so long as it gets delivered.

Did get an email from them yesterday that said

" If there is no update for over 15 days, we will automatically issue you a refund, and you'd still be welcome to keep the package."

So that is also helpful.

Got an SMS this morning that the parcel is on the way (Been at DPD since Saturday).

DPD updated the ETA on my order.
Yesterday the ETA was April 5th and now it's updated to 8th Apr 2024

maybe they have a time machine?
