Build + Support for AMD64 Linux PC in Corporate Environment

Hope you guys can help me here:

I work in a Windows-centric environment where anything Linux related is not very highly regarded. I'm also involved in a lot of numerical research (Monte Carlo etc) - currently I've been bashing it out in my WinXP tablet, but there is only so much you can do and the calcs are pretty heavy stuff. Secured the funds to spec a high-end PC, but would like to use AMD64 technology with loads of RAM in Ubuntu 5.10. Went to great lengths to spec the proper hardware for compatiblity, but still our outsourced computer support company either can't or doesn't want to get a system like that for us. In a company where things like warrantees/guarantees and service support count numero uno, things are looking a bit bleak for getting that Linux AMD64 system.

So.... do any of you know of any CPT-based PC hardware companies that would be willing to build such a Linux system, test and make sure it works 100% with Ubuntu and then offer hardware support + guarantee for say 2 years?
