Buying a TV without a licence

+1. Imagine you had to send R200 to the ANC, or to some other corrupt and failing institution just so you could buy a tv? Not sure why the facepalm. I don't want to support the SABC, I don't want to watch anything aired by the SABC, I don't want to have a thing I buy intrinsically linked to the support of the SABC. It's a stupid concept.

Were these the same hackers that hacked UNISA and change results, ala. SABC Chair?

If SABC provided some kind of quality public service one one consider paying for the greater good so forego any direct personal benefit. I have no desire to watch SABC or DSTV in general, the TV would simply act as a display for Internet and DVDs content.
