I expected to get flamed, but I'm disappointed that only three people posted. everyone is free to voice their own opinion and mine is that in a few years time (if not already), you will have more employment choices if you are a C# programmer.

I'm not flaming you, I'm a program for a living (mostly C#). Of course, you'll have a better chance finding a job programming business applications as there is a huge demand @ the moment.

C/C++ is nowhere near dead. People who decide to become programmers/developers should make an effort to be language independent and have a large range of skills that give them a better understanding of the field.

P.s. If I wanted to flame you, I would have just pointed out you spelt COBOL wrong.
