I have about a year left on my contract on my top up 75. I really think I should move to a new service provider as MTN are expensive and I cant actually afford it. How much would it cost me to cancel my contract? Can I still port my number over so I dont have to change it?

I am having the same problems with my internet connection as I did the other night and I realyly dont think its fair that I have to struggle and use the internet on my phone. I was in the middle of chatting to a friend on mxit and I get kicked off twice and struggled to actually reconnect. What on earth is going on??

Hi
You need to remember that Mxit is not an MTN application. Most times its not the GPRS but rather congestion on the application. The reason it keeps disconnecting is not because of the GPRS connection. There are many other issues to consider. The application has not been perfected on some handsets. One way to test, open the browser and test the connection to another WAP site, if it connects then you know there are issues with Mxit and not the network. I think there were issues that night with the application as many of my friends complained that they were getting logged off automatically and they all use different networks.
