Cape Town - Another wireless company?

I came across a link to a wireless service provider - when i clicked it they sent me the details and prices for a company called Uninet! Thing is, anybody out there in Cape Town using them? Their prices seem very good and the NGR Computers people seemed to highly recommend them, but I want some more reviews before I go for them...[]

So why not post the Uninet info directly? Hmm ... your nick is "Nicksta", and the Uninet link on that page is a mailto "[email protected]" ... methinks you work for (or own) ngrcomputers and you are just plugging your own company/products on this forum.

Don't go with Uninet, they are a disaster on so many levels, and their service is unequivocally illegal under the current regulatory framework.

Um...were entitled to our own names in the world... just a pure co-incidence that our's are the same - i would post the info if I knew how... if someone explains i'll do it for u!

Soooo...someone explain how how to post a .pdf file and i'll do it! According to this its R399pm for 64K and a setup of like R2450... but there are other options aswell....

The first review is bad(what exactly was bad?)...so maybe I wont then...anyone else out there have it?

Im trying to find something that opens this .pdf file so i can edit it (cut and paste)... mmmm...anybody out there know how to cut and paste info in a .pdf file?

Does no-one else have any reviews for me?

Use Adobe Reader V6.0 - it's the standard to read PDF files - free.
Just click on "save as text" and you have a txt version of the PDF file.
To save a document as in PDF format, you can use OpenOffice 1.1.0. You use the Export function there. Also free.

Except of course if 'save as text' was disallowed at the time of original creation of the .pdf if Adobe Acrobat itself was used (not the Reader, which is just that, a reader). Only option you have then is to use a screen grabber or Alt-PrintScr/Shift-PrintScr to save as an image...

well it looks like I was the only one on uninetwork. I can tell you one thing if you planning to go for the R399 option from uninetwork, its a big waste. A year ago i was on the R399 option and it was all good. Downloads were(exceptionally) surfing was fast. gaming was unstable tho. a month ago i was on them again and damn their service was messed up. Constand disconnects, slowing surfing everything. The reason for this is that their 512k and 256k packages take priority. The business clients have even greater priority! so u at the bottom.

Im on another wireless solution nw. All I have to say is good stuff!! email me. I will send u details. very busy nw tho so expect a reply by thursday only. my ping to saix cs server avg 31. lowest 21! my ping to reason(warcraft) 53. highest dl'd speed i have seen 21.38K. im on a home package(17:00-9:00) as well. R599 128k.

Lol! Yeah, i was interested in Uninet a while ago, and went as far as getting signal tests, but they are so unorganised. No one knows whats potting, you speak to the secretary who says "Ok, techies will be at ur house on thursday at 5, and there is no testing fee."

Thursday comes and no one arrives, so i phone them and they don't even have it logged! So after quite a few attempts they eventually come (I was at skewl) and they charge my maid 50 bucks for signal testing!

So although I cannot comment on their actuall speeds, etc. I can say that after a perfomance like that, i doubt it will be up to much

if you did, have techy gave ur maid a recit, if so chk for vat if thay chardged vat go to sars and have them chek it out.. iligal as the service is they probably not vat registered any how..
