I've realised just how many lights nowadays use LED as opposed to standard bulbs.

It's frustrating as it feels less customisable.

But that said, I've found one that could potentially suit me ... but wonderinf anyone has one to actually see if it is dimmable? The place where they sell it says it isn't and the 'dimmable' on the advert refers to colour changing.

You will need a trailing edge dimmer
Leading edge for incandescent lamps

You could also go with something like this if you like your existing fittings. This one isn't dimmable, but I'm sure they are out there.

I think they are right, dimming refers to the colour temperature that can change..

I have something very similar from Eagle Lighting. I can change the colour temperature, from cool white to warm white) and brightness. I use the brightness function a lot, dimming at night is a must
