CellC GPRS on i-mate K-JAM

Hi there

I urgently need some help. Has anybody been able to get a GPRS connection with CellC on their i-mate K-JAM? If so, please could you let me know how, and what your settings are. I've been battling with the callcentre for 3 days now and still no luck.

When they send the SMS with the settings in, the phone can't read them. They also sent an email with an installable CAB file, which I installed but did not work. I've also tried putting the settings in manually, but still no luck.

PLEASE GUYS, THIS IS URGENT.

Hi There, I havnt set up gprs on a K-Jam but have done it on the SP3i.
I basically followed this guys instructions (http://www.mobileplanet.com/forumthread.asp?code=I-MATE_SP3I_US&thread=29) using these cellc gprs settings:

GPRS for browsing (WAP):
IP: 196.31.116.250
Port: 9201
Homepage: http://www.cellc.co.za/wap
Access Point Name: internet
Login: <blank>
Password: <blank>

Found those settings as well, tried them, didn't work. Thanks though for the reply

The error I get is "No modem found at the above number".

This is referring to the GPRS access point "internet".

Give that a try, I had to play around a lot with my phone before I got it to work (cellc isnt going to help you), you just have to put those cellc settings in the right places

Its just started working now, for no particular reason. Maybe they fixed a problem on their side.
