Compress jpeg images

My design work is all done in Photoshop as tiff files (around 450Mb). I need to put 9 files on one sheet, so we are at 3-4 Gb! When I save as a jpeg, it's still rather large

In the case you already use Photoshop, that is where you need to resize.

I send these files to people around my age, and they, like me, aren't computer boffs! Whatsapp and Messenger are about as far as it goes

Then just scale the images down to +- 2000 px (or smaller) on the longest side and save as a jpeg. If they only need it for viewing they don't need a 30mb file. You're making this super complicated.

In order to help you will need to understand what you are trying to achieve and how you want to achieve it.

I have given you an app for android where you can compress the image.

If you want to do it on your mac or PC, you can just do it in your browser:

It really doesn't get simpler than this, unless you are going to be a bit more descriptive.

Edit: See it is limited to 5mb for that link. That is stupid.

Use this one then:

Cos it shows up as 20000x20000 "somethings"
Squoosh? Please elaborate sir
Those something wouldn't happen to be pixels? If you scanned something in at 600dpi it would be around that.

I set up my files in mm (330x330) at 200 pixels per inch(I think ). The entire area is covered with various images (please check my Profile picture). I need to use two formats, RGB for the screen and to send, and CMYK for the printing. I simply choose the mode in PS before saving.
I will be trying the various options posted by others here.
One other point is that my customers are mostly pensioners who don't always have spare data, so the smaller the file is, the better!

If your clients are viewing onscreen they you might consider using Save for web & devices. It's only when you go to print that the resolution (ppi) matters.

You can literally just send the image you used for your profile pic then.

OP, if had more time, I would offer to help you to do some touch ups on these images and sort out sizing. But I managed to grow up and find an actual job that is now taking all my time.
