Hey
Im really not clued up on this
Ive got 2 PC's in my house, connected to one Mega 100WR
My plan is to have one PC connected to my TelkomInternet Account and the other connected to my WebAfrica Local only account.
Is this possble? Or do I have to use routesentry?
THANKS

Speaking under correction here:

I don't think u have to use routesentry, but for the amount of effort u have to go thru u might as well use it!

i.e. Maybe 5 steps to put routesentry to work, and u will have to do 4 out of the 5 to get it to get what u r asking for :p

Sorry, I can't elaborate right now, it's late and I haven't gotten round to setting up routesentry myself yet :D

Put the router into brdge mode and create a pppoe connecter, for the requisite ISP, on each PC.

"create a pppoe connecter"
please explain? thanks

But he doesnt want 2 ADSL connections on one machine - he wants separate accounts in separate machines. How does routesentry help?

Blah - All you needs to do is set you router in bridged mode and let each machine control its own connection. How you set up your router depends on the make. Remember, when your router is in bridged mode the the NAT firewall falls away so make sure you have some protection on each PC.

After the router is ready on each computer go to "my network places."

View network connections > Create New Connection > Connect to the internet > Set up my connection manually > Connect using a broadband connection that requites a username and password > you can figure out the rest :)

The above is for XP - if you're using a different os you're on your own (unless its OsX :))

thanks bwana!
Ive got a Mega 100WR, would it work?

Hi Blah ,

Yes , of cause this will work on the Mega 100WR..
to set the router to Bridge mode , do the folloing :

Advanced, WAN , Quickstart (or you connection name if you have set up a different connection ) , select "bridge" on the "type" dropdown menu, and click on "Apply"... finally, save your settings.

Once you have done this, configure the connections on each PC as described by Bwana, any you will be in bussiness,

regards
