Connectivity problems

Getting "[436] group not available temporarily" errors on grabit, int. sites seem to ok though

I am pulling my hair out because of a MWEB / HELLKOM situation where both say that a problem is not with them... tomorrow will be the third day of down time.

Hellkom has a different story every time i call to check up what is happening... Tuesday it was Dslam, Line or MWEB issues then later a General Telkom issue.Today apparently nothing wrong must be my network.

Mweb says nothing wrong point blank. All fine on their side contact Telkom.

The best part is that a business down the street who also uses ADSL and the service provider is Mweb has exactly the same issue going on for last 2 days ... so I am not alone with this issue!

For interests sakes I spent all of 31 minutes on 1 call holding for MWEB tech support this evening which was great considering that we pay them over 5 grand a month for the services they provide. Funny that this does not include the amount of money we must spend holding on the line waiting for technical support!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Telkom I waited for over 25 minutes! So I spent almost 1 hour just holding for tech support.

My ADSL status on the router cleary shows that I am connected and absolutely nothing has changed in the network for months. Someone aint giving me the whole truth in this matter!

Is anyone else in the Houghton/Parktown/Yeoville Area is experiencing a Telkom / MWEB ADSL outage please let me know cos between Telkom and Mweb they both do not seem interested in sorting out the issue.

I am currently using Vodaphone modems to connect PCs to the net and analogue for mail and 3g cards for all the panic stricken staff who moan and moan and moan!

Int is erractic, was working at full speed for about 10 seconds then back to this 0.1kb/s BS! Plumstead region

BTW : My SAIX account works perfectly but my IS account is buggered! Downloading a file at 0.522Kb/s using IDM - 8 Connections

I'm having no problems with local or international browsing, but the newsserver (SAIX) seems broken - keeps telling me "authentication required"

SAIX news server was flying nicely last night using a WA prepaid local account, even this morning (06h30) still going strong at about 51kb/s
