MTN has this new function to convert store bought airtime into cash. They are doing this under their MTN MOMO (MTN mobile wallet APP). The function is still in testing mode.
I've tried it, and it works. They charge you 2% to convert the airtime.
If MTN is able to do this with store bought airtime, then I think it's just a matter of time they found a way to convert unused airtime back into cash.
But it looks, like, MTN never advertised this function. Can anyone in my Broadband ask MTN/MTN MOMO why they never advertised this function to people?
I don't think there's anything stopping these institutions to have a function to convert the unused airtime back into real-world currency, especially because MTN MOMO can do this.
Please my Broadband please follow-up on this.
