Converting Airtime to Cash

12 years later... still nothing on development to convert airtime back into cash? I accidentally bought way too much airtime via banking app. I want to cry!
How much is too much?
You can always sell it if its airtime, transfer it to someone else, depending on what network it is.

MTN has this new function to convert store bought airtime into cash. They are doing this under their MTN MOMO (MTN mobile wallet APP). The function is still in testing mode.

I've tried it, and it works. They charge you 2% to convert the airtime.

If MTN is able to do this with store bought airtime, then I think it's just a matter of time they found a way to convert unused airtime back into cash.

But it looks, like, MTN never advertised this function. Can anyone in my Broadband ask MTN/MTN MOMO why they never advertised this function to people?

I don't think there's anything stopping these institutions to have a function to convert the unused airtime back into real-world currency, especially because MTN MOMO can do this.

Please my Broadband please follow-up on this.

How do you load the airtime into your MOMO account and what’s the point of doing that?

I imagine there would have been a lot less crying if you knew this back in November? :X3::laugh:
Not quite, but this function is a nice find!

The reason: this function is different from what I was crying about in November!.

That November issue is still left hanging, still no recourse on that issue. That's why I posted this, I want the recourse on that issue. They evidently have the means and capacity to do that. So, why not?

Well, MOMO is a mobile wallet, like, Spot Money, PayPal etc. I use it to save petty cash laying around in the house, because traditional banks charge much.

How’s about answering the question I asked?

Oh, I just saw now.

And, your question is superfluous. The thread headline literally says: Converting Airtime to Cash.

I was sharing that MTN found one way to address just that.
