Who has tried crossfit, should I give it a go, Im building lean muscle, not hardcore just lean
I heard its not that good for your body but the results are great

I have 2 friends who do it, and they are crazy about it. Both have dropped +- 15kg over a couple of months

Yea I know I will see results, but is it any good for your body though

I know a couple of people who have gotten quite injured at cross-fit, there is also this: https://medium.com/health-fitness-1/97bcce70356d

I've never done it myself, so I have no idea, but from what I've heard some of the cross-fit guys push the people too hard, resulting in injury.

Maybe go for 1 session and see for yourself?

yea, I heard its quite rough on your body, am a bit hesitant to try it

find a good box with good coaches that focus on technique then it’s awesome

It depends on the condition of your body, and whether you've done some sort of weight-based training before. Crossfit is quite hard on the body since you've pushing past your limit, so if you haven't done much training before, there is a big risk of injury, especially later in life.

If you can be self-motivated, then I would start with a high rep workout to get your body into it - that way you will be putting more strain on your muscle, building lean mass, burning fat, and putting less strain on your joints and bones.

I do weight training but not hardcore at all, i build muscle quite quickly because I am skinny, so 5kg weight really makes a difference when I train, I also eat loads of protein so my muscles are well fed. Just wanted to try something new and thinking of pushing my body a bit further, just to see what can become of it if I really tried, crossfirt might not be ideal then if its going to cause injury or strain at this point

I have met many people who are crazy about Crossfit. I have never tried it myself but have also read a lot of articles about how they push you past your limits and that can lead to either injury or Rhabdomyolysis, which is an incredibly nasty thing that basically destroys your kidneys and your muscles.

I recommend you go try it out - you won't end up with Rhabdo after just one session. BUT be aware that there is a culture of pushing people too hard, so don't let that happen to you. Know your limits and stick to them. Don't give in to the group pressure to push yourself too far. Any exercise is better than no exercise, but do not overdo it - that goes for any fitness program, not just Crossfit.

it's not that they push you too hard, it's that they don't give two craps about proper form, hence people get hurt.

crossfit takes complicated movements and gets rid of all the useless shlt, like effectiveness and safety, and replaces it with cool shlt, like violence and danger

I reckon you'd be better off picking up kickboxing or a similar derivative; it's great for lean muscle. It's also less cult-ish and more fun.

I did it for around 8 months and lost ~12kg. Stopped only because I moved too far away.

P.S. Yes you can get injured, but it's quite unlikely provided you don't actually get in the ring.

It really depends on what cross fit gym you go to.
I have seen some seriously crap ones, it all comes down to the coach there and how well they train you.

There is a fair amount of lifting, and if your form is wrong, you are not going to get maximum benefits and are probably going to hurt yourself.

My experience has been quite good with crossfit. Sometimes there is a bit too much weightlifting, but thats just how it goes i suppose. I definitely think you will not get as fit as you could doing crossfit as you would doing other exercises. I think its something that is quite good to supplement sport or other activity.

I also enjoy it because of the relatively short workout and the variety.

Try it, dont push yourself too hard, and see if it works for you

This is a great suggestion, I did Muay thai for a while and really enjoyed it, but it's quite similar to kick boxing (fitness wise).

Another excellent one is Krav Maga, not only do you do fitness, but you will be able to defend yourself in just about any situation. Krav Maga is handy for self defence, as it teaches you to try get away from the situation first, and only if that's not possible you know exactly how/where to attack to get the guy down asap.
