Do i really need wi fi

You definitely need it!! Your life would not be complete without wi-fi!

*Just kidding, wi-fi is quite nice if you have a home network, because you can do internet connection sharing without wires, etc. It's a nice to have.

If you have a wireless router sharing your significantly cheaper ADSL bandwidth to your home, a wi-fi enabled phone means getting to play silly buggers on that phone without having your bank account drained at the same rate that the cellular companies do.

To me that looks pretty compelling, you may not see value in it tho..

I think for now in SA its not really necessary unless you have it at home, but otherwise GPRS is just fine.
In the UK and other countries you could say its needed.

Wifi is really cool at home and the office ... On my PDA's i have mapped network drives to access Movies and Music .. really cool ... i use terminal services to control my PC remotely over WiFi ... i dont have to get up and walk .. you gotta love it ...
