Does 1st November affect ISDN

Hey Crash, don't give out ideas like that. They may try do it

lol. when i had isdn i downloaded 12 gigs a month for a total of R550 including rental and calls to my isp... its looking cheaper that way already.

I normally download over 3GB of data in a weekend on my ISDN line, what international infrastructure does that use ? If it uses the undersea cable then I don't really see what Telkom's problem with abusive ADSL users are, I abuse their international connectivity on a weekly basis.

If my calculations are correct, 11.8GB can be downloaded in one 4 weekend month using 128k ISDN. Using the current price list on Telkom's website with regards to IDSN and ADSL, to download 12GB of unshaped data will cost me about FOUR TIMES more through ADSL than ISDN. FOUR TIMES the price for 24/7 connectivity. Please Telkom get a bloody clue. Your pricing structure and limitations are unacceptable.

Yeah I used to pull around 8GB a month on 56k.. new area, new lines, new exchange and a constant 5-6KB/s with a winmodem and a little app that connects and disconnects at the Infinitcall times.. cutting edge hey.. pppftt

And bear in mind that ISDN is also a WAY over-priced, old technology. Unfortunately there is probably no other countries to compare ISDN costs to, since they all probably dumped the technology years ago ;)

It doesnt matter how much you download with ISDN it's just how long youre on for.. and whether you use R7 call, sorry infint call its something like R9 now anyway. And another obvious reason: that bill might also inclued all your families phone calls, hey?

remember, if you dont have infinte call your call will get charged for every minute you are on, i reccomend you apply for it, try to disconect as little as possible and download your heart out!

Man I miss my IDSN Line now. hey Silent_Bob, maybe you lucked out not getting ADSL.
