Still down

Still down as well ... is there any estimate of when it may be up again? Trying to keep my hosting client calm but with nothing to report it's difficult.

Im on Vox and domains.co.za are down. The guys there must be having a rough day.
 
Update:

VOX's outage has affected various parts of our infrastructure. 3rd Tier technicians are in the process of bring up our infrastructure, most shared & reseller hosting is up with technicians currently working on other infrastructure.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused

How come web hosting is up buy not dbs? I thought they ran on the same server?
 
Hi Guy,

Just a quick update from the DC.

The Vox Rutherford Estate data center lost power bringing down everyone in the DC.
We are working as hard as possible to restore all servers and services, we have cpanel engineers assisting where they can.
It's going to be a very very long night from our side.

Edit : Yes our site is still down, we figured customers services were more important than our own site.

Haha, believe it or not. It is. At least there is a sense of job satisfaction when you help people and are able to make a significant impact in their lives. Also its a very diverse activity, but Im also busy building another company (or two). Just nothing to do with Hosting or domains :D
 
Not hosting anything critical with Vox, but some of my clients reported that they (Vox) is back up.

Uptime robot just reported all my sites are down.

So I just wanted to see if anyone else suddenly has issues too

I assume it's still the VOX issue had no problems ever prior to this VOX thing

Hi,

It was related to only the server you are on.
cPanel has pushed out their update for version 11.52 and it looks like during this upgrade it tried to restart apache and something didn't quiet work. We manually restarted apache a few minutes later and it's all working.

Hi,

Vox did maintenance on their BGP routers we peer with between 23:59 and 00:13 which would have affected our shared hosting. Cloud and dedicated servers wouldn't have been affected by this.
