'Drop the charges, or else...'

Correct me if I am wrong please, but anyone can go to the NPA and lay a charge and request them to follow up and prosecute those that carried out and orchestrated this particular landmine incident, it does not have to be the family as such.

What resources the NPA dedicates to this, or if they even do anything at all is another issue entirely.

It will all just become tit for tat.

As terrible as the events were that involved Chikane one must ask though, what more information is there, and will any amount of information ever be enough?

I say this respectfully, as having dealt with trauma victims in the past, no matter how clear and concise things are, there is always the question 'why' that remains.
