Hi Guys. I am moving to rynfield on the weekend and i contacted telkom to move my DSL line. They are telling me that the complex i am moving to doesnt have ADSL cables installed and that it is not capable of DSL.

Now i find this hard to believe as my father lives two blocks from where i am moving to and he has DSL.How can i confirm this ?

Thanks

I know tons of people in Rynfield with DSL installed and working fine, just keep on pushing them.

Some complexes use a different telephone network internally afaik. Adsl can get up to the distribution point outside the complex but getting in is the prob... might be the reason, i cld be wrong...

The complex probably does not have cabling for telephones installed yet. Go to your neighbours and find out if they have a telephone installed. If they do, the cabling story Telkom is feeding you is hogwash. It's a different story if they don't have DSLAMs though. I have DSL at my home in Benoni (Benoni Small Farms) so I don't see why Rynfield shouldn't ;).
