Hello Friends,

We bought a PVR last year December, 9 months ago. Now I've got 2 problems:

1) Yesterday, the T.V link for TV2 unit gave up the ghost, when its attatched to the feed from the PVR there is nothing but snow on the screen, as if there isn't any source feed. When I plug the co-ax directly into the TV, the picture is perfect. A new one costs R199.

2) About four months after installation, the second T.V remote's fast forward and rewind ability stopped being able  . So now you can pause but nothing else. A new one costs +- R400.

Now, my issue is this. Multichoice tell me that neither the T.V link nor the remote are covered under the warranty, only the PVR is. The problem I have with this is that now that the TV link has broken, the PVR is essentially not able to perform what it is supposed to, i.e.: the dualview bit. As well as the fact that due to the broken remote, It can't perform the PVR functions either.

Does anyone perhaps have a PVR warranty card, I lost mine, to double check what is and what isn't covered, as well as the wording, does it specifically exclude TV Link and remotes?

Any help is much appreciated.

I have the same problem (exactly); gave the pvr in, they exchanged it and now the tv-link is not working again! i dsy they should issue everyone with this problem with a tv extender irda thing!

Considering the problem with the tv-link - would you still get one?

Same issue here with the tv-link, havent had time to get to DSTV yet. Seems like a common problem
