Hi everyone,

We haven't had much luck coming up with a router than will DEFINITELY allow us to change the mtu setting to 1352. We have spoken to several vendors and they don't actually know because it's not written on the box.

Could everyone that uses a router with iBurst, that can definitely set the mtu to 1352, please post your router make and model nr/version in this thread pls.

It would be much appreciated.

Netgear is my router of choice.

Hi JhbG

I am using a wireless router, Netgear WGT 264 and it is feature rich, you are able to set many parameters including the MTU that most other routers don’t allow you to configure. I’m confident that you will be safe with any Netgear router.

If you have a specific router in mind that you wish to use, search the net for the manual once found, search the document for MTU.

Hope this helps.

Ja, I can second that, I use a Netgear WGR 614, and it works fine.

I know the linksys WRT54 also works well, and many people use that router.

D-Link DI-624+ ... no problem setting mtu. Also correctly alters outbound TCP MSS to mtu-40 ... important to eliminate fragmentation.

LinkSys WRT54GL - works fine with default firmware, as well as DD-WRT custom firmware.

Gigabyte B-49G allows you to change MTU settings, and works perfectly...

Another one... Surecom EP-9610SX-G. Why don't you go the the manufacturer websites? They should contain full specs

Just checked my DG834GT, it allows you to change the MTU as well.

I to have a Netgear WGT624 v3, and have had no problems whats so ever. Good all around router

All the DI-series routers from D-Link works with Iburst, not only can you edit the MTU from 1492 to 1352, you can also try 1290 which is also a unsaid MTU for IBurst. Anyhow the DI-Series include (DI-604, DI-524, DI-624, DI-804HV, etc...)

including the MTU that most other routers don’t allow you to configure
bollocks but anyway

All of Trendnet's routers allow the MTU to be adjusted. I resell them.
I confirm that the Cisco 1700 series also allows MTU setting

Thanks for all your input :)

We finally got a Belkin Wireless G+ Router, as this was the easiest to find.

I'm happy to report the mtu setting works fine :)
