Files and folders going missing of server.

I'm in the same boat man. Its like the users think we go out of our way to mess with their PC and stop them from doing work. *shrugs*

Post back here if it works or doesn't work...I'm keen to see the cause of this.
 
Server 2003 can have File Share Auditing enabled to track whats happening to files and when...don't ask me how to do that now as it's been a while and I don't have any server 2003 test VMs up at the moment
 
+1 for the auditing.

Had the some thing ones. Files going missing. I also thought that they just miss double clicked and them moved the folders, but this wasn't the case. We ended up moving all the files to a linux server and caught them red handed. They would delete the file, maybe by mistake, but would say they didn't and we had proof that they did. Also, Linux with rsync to another drive, makes recovery easier and faster.
