Hi Everyone,

Can somebody please help me in allocating a Cell C or Vodacom contract under R800pm where I can get the Nokia E90 free of charge.

Thank you,
Mietsie

Why not MTN? You can get it on the Pro-120 for R409/pm

Is the E90 free then or is there a pay in.

Virgin Mobile have it for R472 p.m x24. on a post pay 100 contract (150 free minutes p.m. (anytime) and 20 SMS per month free +free CLI.

Its not on their website but I got their brochure last Friday and its listed there. They also have in stock at Musica Kollenade. Was majorly tempted but decided I don't need another contract.

It's free....

You have the option of paying R309/pm, but then you need to pay in R2199, I chose this option.

@ R409/pm its free from MTN.

Personally, I wouldn't touch Virgin, they're completely useless, I just ported to MTN from them, they still haven't sent me an invoice or statement, I've told them that whatever they debit off my account I'm having the bank reverse until they send me the above.

On what planet is this a FREE offer??

You are paying an extra R100/month for 24 months, which means you are effectively paying in R2400.00 (just paying off monthly instead of in one go).

FREE my *ss

Thats just stupid... then there is no such thing as a FREE offer, cause you're always signing a 24 month contract... its the terms of the contract that change.

If you're paying R472 at Virgin, and R409 at MTN for roughly the same contract... then the MTN one is 'more free' than the Virgin one...

My Dad is upgrading soon and I'm getting he's upgrade phone for free. E90.

He will not use it.:D:p;)

Lol...my brother keeps doing that to my mom... I keep wanting to kick his arse... he keeps stealing her upgrade phones, so he gets an upgrade once a year... once when he upgrades, and once when she does... and she's left stuck with a crappy old phone. GGGRRRR

Thank you guys.
The reason I don't want MTN, is because they cannot give me coverage at my home!!!
They have now agreed to cancel my contract without any penalties, but I must return my phone (Nokia 9300i)!

Anybody else had a bad experience with Virgin?

Look around the forum, if you're looking for data access, you'll be stuck with EDGE, and its hardly ever available... also, good-luck making calls on virgin over the weekends.

Canal Walk? Lookup there phone number on canalwalk.co.za, and give them a call, just to make sure it's still running.

special is running but handsets are limited , you must ask nicely and there is a rather long waiting list , i was on 6 of them w.r.t different consultants and i paid in my negotiated fee to get the phone.

new revisions of E90 are coming out soon so don't be in a hurry as its slightly buggy from my experiences with mine.

The new revision is only a cosmetic change. The keys on the current one damage the internal screen, and the external screen apparently gets dust under it.

this also happens on the newer chassis one , internal screen still has issues with dirt and oil and fingerprints and the rubbers on the inside of the screen need to be as non-protruding as possible so that the cover can shut otherwise the casing does'nt close correctly.

See this link and read through all the pages - > http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33100&start=70&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

I have the non-chassis-enhanced one and aside from both screens getting a little oily , no other issues related to marks from keypad on internal screen at all and memory and task management with TaskManager seems to be working perfecto.

Yeh... I just ordered a nice leather pouch of eBay,and two internal/external screen protectors, so I'm sorted... Ended up costing about R230 with 3 day delivery.

I just wish they'd release a new firmware, the GPS lock time is starting to annoying me now.
