From Unicellular to multicellular -> a modern example

I found this from wiki regarding their sex habits:

Hehe, OK. That's probably due to their different ways of division then (that they are not influenced by normal cell division signals). I've been studying a lot of plasmids lately and they divide with the cells :p
Liver cells which require a lot of energy can have up to 100 mitochondria per cell if memory serves. Quite useful lil buggers in our cells. :D

Yup. I wonder if one day we mesh in with our technology and become a globalcellular organism. Wait.. then we would be Borg. Most probably a bad idea.

7 of 9 is pretty hot, and she has some emotion :>

Only on myadsl can we go from unicellular organisms through to how hot 7 of 9 is. Natural evolution ;)

Now if only I can find away to get 7 of 9 to accept some of my unicellular organisms .......... it would be purely scientific off course ....... to study cell division ;-)

Of course...why else would you attempt something like that? xD

Shock: First Animal on Earth Was Surprisingly Complex
Meet the first animal on earth: Ocean-drifting comb jelly (Ctenophora)
Quite complex, unlike sponges (Porifera), traditionally thought to be the basal lineage of animals.
Similar to cnidarians in many ways, but have a slightly more complex nerve net, a more extensively organised digestive system, have a mesenchymal (maybe mesodermal) musculature; are monomorphic throughout their life history
Interesting lecture

Colonial choanoflagellates their ancestor?

So the base of the tree of life got more complex, now bee's noses and science redraws it...again.
