gAMING ADDICTION

I see everyone suggesting a wife. The problem is the addiction can effect your marriage and kids.

Got a friend who is a WOW player. Wife ended up running the family. Not good.

Are you a TV addict? a Braai addict? (Just guessing these are the things you do in your down time.)
Probably a bit addicted to my phone. I find it hard to leave it alone. Normally a weekend away in the bush with no technology, works for me as a rehab.

To the OP I would suggest some propper time management draw up a schedule, plan your day, set aside only 10 hours per day for gaming. Maybe from 6 to 9 and 12 to 1 in your lunch hour, then again 5 to 11.

10 hours per day??!

Yes, that will help him. :wtf:

Just force yourself to work in "work hours" from 8am-5pm

No need to give up gaming, that's just mental.

It is hilarious that you think this chops "120 hour" gaming addiction is at all relatable to those incidents. You probably also think GTA causes real life violence.

You first need to ask what is an addiction, gambling, sex, sugar, caffeine, drugs, alcohol, which are very real addictions which you will probably have a laugh at as well.

Then you have to ask the troll what exactly does violence and violence in video games have to do with the price of eggs and topic at hand. You are a troll and any reasonable discussion with you is about as useful as catching rain in a strainer.Perhaps you should head back to your bridge.

Turn your addiction into a learning experience?

I play too much Killing Floor 2, so decided to go and learn the editor and make my own maps and also alter AI behaviour.

yup, modding the game may actually achieve both ends.
Coding towards your passion may actually get you over the C++ hump.
