Geyser timer solution for solar

Deye 8kW and 10 kwh battery but only goes to 30% and so 7.6kwh when fully charged but a struggle the past few days with cloudy weather and all.

Solar is direct and east side but as the sun angle is screwed in winter and the water so cold, it barely does much tbh.

Panels are 550W, but all about the angle's of the sun and that so a challenge as mentioned. 5 on one mppt and 5 on the other.

Whatever the water temp is maybe 25-30 degrees I still shower, wash the basics and out 🤣
looking at it though that east side might be a littler better at generating then the west side *besides the low angle) ? -

More north facing, west side is south facing.

Agree, put more panels on east side seeing they on 2 different mppts. I thought they were on 1 mppt.

So don't want to kick off a debate again but seeing my geyser electricity usage for this year so far is crazy...

Your feb to april was my monthly consumption. Are you guys using the geyser to heat yourselves in winter? Its as if you guys are sleeping in the shower 🤣. I refuse to believe its all coz of colder inlet water. I was flat 200kWh all throughout winter when grid connected with a timer.

Summer my heat pump averages 60 units a month, winter it can come to 95

Yeah but your operation is not the same as standard geyser. You heatpump becomes less efficient in winter. His is just straight up element.
