hi guys,I have a problem,and i cannot find it.
ok sometimes i am busy on this forum then my cdr drive just opens for no apparent reason,I doubled check to see if no processes were running that could cause this.
I have 3 drives 1-dvdrw 2-cdrw 3 cdrom.
the cdrom drive just opens sometime and it gives me a fright .
i dont have any viruses,and most of my burning software programs are dormant.
I am getting desperate about this as it is irrritating.

Have you checked the start up programs?

Check if its a hardware problem. Detach the data cable and leave the power cable in, then boot up as normal... if it still opens, time to replace the drive. I had a Samsung dvd writer that did that, really irritating...

try disconnecting the power cable to sort it out if it still opens the u have a haunted pc

ha ha nokkie very funny,Did check startup options,nothing there,I dont really use the drive,but like to keep it powered so if i do need to put in 3 disks on the pc then its there,and no need to swap disks for one drive.

turn off autoplay perhaps.
